If you are about to get married, please please please book a proper qualified professional wedding photographer like myself and other Master Photographers. If a photographer is offering really cheap prices, it's not because he is being kind and offering you great wedding photography at a really low price, it's because he is rubbish and will most probably ruin your big day.

I can't begin to count the number of upset brides who have emailed me asking for my help to correct the rubbish their so called photographer has produced for them.

At the end of the day you only get what you pay for. Wedding photography is such a highly skilled profession and there are no second chances to get it right. If you book a crap photographer, you will in turn get crap photographs.

The very minimum a photographer should be charging is £800. Our reputation preceeds us and that is why we are recommended time and time again producing work to the highest standards.

This is our newest addition to our wedding album range. What is unique about Simon Barnes Photography is that this album is a matted album produced in the traditional way albums have been made for many years, but in a more contemporary way. It is designed for thoes of you who don't like the digital wedding books that we also produce. The beauty of it is though is that we can produce matted overlay albums or the wedding books in the same covers. They come in various great colours ann finishes. You can also have the album with an image on the front with either type of album. Here are 2 samples.

Why it is so good is that, say a couple come to view my wedding books and albums but the album they like is a wedding book, but they prefer an album cover from the matted range of wedding albums. Well that is not a problem. We can mix and match to give the couple great choices and most importantly what they want.

It works really well and makes my wedding clients very happy with the variation and flexibilty my album and book range can offer.

If you are getting married this or next year, just remember. Wedding Photography is a very specialised art and very difficult to do well. There have been a rush of new wannabie wedding photographers who have flooded the market and who by in large are making a real hash of weddings they photograph.
The reason I am telling you this is I hate to see a bride's wedding day ruined by such people. I know it can be expensive to get married today so that is why if you check my prices on my website you will see a package that is aimed at those of you who want a good professional wedding photographer, but can't afford to pay the earth for one.
There is so much work involved in creating wedding photography in today's digital age. That is why it isn't cheap. Many of us burn the midnight oil to bring together a wedding album that you desire.
Don't forget that the wedding album is all you will have left from your wedding day as a great memory of your most special day. The Car will be gone the venue, the cake will be eaten, but the photos will live on to bring you pleasure every time you open that album cover. It is also a legacy to you children.
Now you can't put a price on that, can you.

It's been 18 years now since I photographed my very first wedding. The weding industry has changed so much but I'm glad to say I have changed with it at every twist and turn. Digital photography was what I was waiting for. to be in total control of my images and to create truely amazing wedding albums has been the driving force of my business over the years.
Seeing my images on my website will give you only a snippet of what my wedding books and albums have achieved and the wow factor it gives my clients when they come to see me.

I believe strongly that couples should have an album, "Why", you ask. Well, a disc will not last forever and technology will eventually make the dvd redundant, but having that album which is a family heirloom will be there for future generations of your family to see and enjoy. I give away free the dvd because I want you to share your images with your loved ones, but an album, well, it defines who you are and eventually were, so that your children, grand children and great grand children will remember you. An elegant portrait of an elegant bride. I wanted to make great use of the Celtic Manor Resort hotel. This is a prime example of how Simon Barnes Photography goes above and beyond the call of duty when photographing a wedding. The couple were having their reception at the lodge about half a mile away from the main hotel complex. it is a nice venue but I wanted to create something special for the bride and groom. I caused me a bit of stress with the timings but I was determined to get the best I could.

As it happened i managed the timings perfectly for the wedding breakfast to start on time, as I always do.
